My friend Lauren Maul is having a birthday this week, so I finally got around to drawing her in character as the delightful Marilyn Summers.
Since she is a cabaret girl I wanted to do something a wee bit Toulouse Lautrecish, with artificial screen printing misregistrations
and I did this all from start to finish in under 3 hours. Because I care.

Sam Waterston
I love old school Law & Order. Not that SVU crap, the original. That was such a great tv show. I curse whoever the bastard is that removed it from the airwaves.
Maybe I should draw the entire cast. I could do a nice one of Jerry Orbach getting all sassy.

The Mad World of Miss Hathaway
S. Dixon is pals with Angela Di Carlo, who is a downtown cabaret artist of sorts. She does a regular show that's a musical parody of Mad Men called The Mad World of Miss Hathaway.
I got in touch and asked for her permission to do an image of her in character for her upcoming show

I wanted to do it in a bit of a Coby Whitmore style, because oh boy do I ever love that guy

Air B n' B
this afternoon, in lieu of my usual monday funday or red-wine crafternoons, I went over to the home of Darkness and Peaches (my compatriots from The Hotel) to do a little doodling on their walls for their spare room that they are going to start pimping on Air B n' B
this is the wine we consumed:
of course Rosalita was there
this is the wine we consumed:
i got my feet all dirty
this is what we came up with for the welcome wall
and then the phrase "boudoir noir" for no reason whatsoever
