recently at Parker & Quinn
So, apologies for not posting my recent P & Q sketches. I have been a skosh to busy to be scanning and posting all the time.
so heres a months worth coming at you right up in your face
so heres a months worth coming at you right up in your face
I always take a minute to draw the deejay
this lonely diner reminds of the Degas classic L'Absinthe
i got all self-satisfied by the composition of this one, I believe I will borrow it for a future design
the deejay on a different night
I drew these women for a full 45 minutes and they distinctly knew they were being drawn, when they left they breezed right on by without saying hello or asking to see the drawing

comedy posters
My main homeslice Frank Liotti asked me to do a poster for his comedy show this thursday
and of course, next week's Bitchcraft show at Duplex, hosted by the fabulous Marilyn Summers
both posters were designed with the intention that they can be reused for future shows, I just change the names and dates. BUT also, the colors, the patterns and Marilyn's earrings are all points of customization
BONUS!
the original linework from the Bitchcraft poster:

this week at Parker & Quinn
ya know, some of these bar sketches look like hot turds to me on the page, but then there are things about them I dig once scanned in and seen on a screen
this woman struck this very elegant pose while ordering her wine at the bar, with her hand holding her chin just so but of course she didn't hold it and I couldnt quite capture it in time
